The Man"they call me Rob the Gun cuz I shoot the Bible bullets,my fingers' on the trigger and I'm not afraid to pull it,so you can come at me with your swears and your curses,I'll whip out my sword and cut you with some Bible verses." Rob "the Gun" Shaver I love a good joke and I love to laugh and have a good time (when its appropriate)I love a good meal - although I'm finding that I can't pack it in like I used to! TOP 5: Mac n Cheese, Pepperoni Pizza (thin and greasy), Alice Springs Chicken from the Outback, Friendly's Munchie Mania, chicken nuggets or some kind of breaded, crispy chicken.And I'll have a chocolate shake with that.This summer I'll be a Camp Hunt as much as I can be. I also plan on going to Water Safari more than once and I'll be catching a couple of drive in movies. I'll also be at planet fitness trying to get buff... if that's allowed.If you live in the area say hi to me if you see me around! I love life!I love God!I love sports: playing them, watching them, Go NY Giants, Mets and Knicks! I do fantasy football and baseball.I like to learn (but not in school), I didn't start reading until after college. I love to be challenged in thought, especially when it comes to Bible stuff. My Story I was born in Albany, NY on March 11, 1982. I had a wonderful childhood save a couple of disagreements with my sisters and the day my mom sold our Atari (which I am still a little upset about). When I was in early elementary school my family started going to a new church. God was becoming a bigger part of our lives. Each of the members of my immediate family became Christians within a five year span. In some way we really grew up with each other in the Lord. By high-school I was hooked on God. I became one of the leaders in my youth group. Though I had many interests, I knew that God was calling me to be a minister of His Word. In September of 2000 I ended up at Ohio Valley College (now University). There I spent four years learning more about the Bible, how to read, study, preach and live God's Word to us. I was hired to preach for the Church of Christ in Utica, New York before I graduated so in May of 2004 I finished school and started work. That same summer a great friend of mine turned into a romantic interest. We were on the same page as far as what we wanted to be doing for God and where we felt He was calling us. We would soon discover that He was calling us to do it together. Cassie and I were married June 1, 2005 on Clearwater Beach, FL.We now live in East Utica with our two dogs and a constant flow of house guests. Cassie works as an educator for CareNet pregnancy center, she helps out a ton with the church and was recently added to the board of directors of Camp Hunt (our favorite place in the world!).
